ACACIA HONEY

Acacia honey suggests a gentle honey sweetness with a light floral character. In a perfume, the idea can lend a nectar-like softness to flowers or a sweet counterpoint to drier woody notes. It is a gourmand reference: a scent that recalls something edible.

The European honey commonly sold as acacia honey comes from the nectar of Robinia pseudoacacia, also called black locust or false acacia. This is distinct from the yellow-flowered acacias used for mimosa materials. A honey note does not mean that edible honey has been added to a perfume, and there is no single formula for recreating this impression.
