ANGELICA SEEDS
Angelica seed has a fresh, peppery herbal character with a subtly sweet, anise-like undertone. It can suggest juniper-like brightness and add a dry aromatic edge to a fragrance. Compared with angelica root, the seed material generally feels fresher and less earthy.
The seeds of Angelica archangelica are used to produce a distilled perfumery oil. This is a separate material from the root oil, not simply another name for it. In a composition it can connect citrus freshness with herbs or woods. The balance varies with the extract and blend, so the note should not be read as a fixed recipe or a guarantee of lasting power.
