APRICOT
Apricot suggests soft, ripe fruit with a rounded sweetness and a velvety impression. It can feel fresher and juicier in one perfume, warmer and closer to preserves in another. That range makes the surrounding notes useful: a floral setting and a sugary gourmand setting can draw out different sides of the same fruit idea.
Fragrance materials can create apricot-like effects without using apricot flesh. For example, perfumery materials with warm stone-fruit facets can also connect naturally with floral impressions. The note name alone does not reveal a formula or extraction method. Apricot describes the fruit, while apricot blossom and apricot marmalade point to more specific floral and cooked-fruit interpretations.
