BERGAMOT
Bergamot combines a bright citrus-peel impression with a softer floral and herbal side. It can feel zesty without being only sharp, giving freshness a more rounded character. That mix helps explain why a bergamot note can sit comfortably beside flowers, herbs or dry woods.
Bergamot oil is obtained from the fruit peel, commonly by cold pressing. Further processing produces different grades, so a note list should not be read as a specification for one particular oil. The fruit is associated strongly with Italian perfumery production, especially Calabria, but a generic bergamot label does not verify the origin of each perfume's material. Explore whether the composition foregrounds citrus freshness or uses it as a bright accent within a fuller blend.
