BLACK VANILLA
Black vanilla suggests a rich, sweet interpretation of vanilla in perfume. Its surroundings can be creamy and fruity, floral, or warmer and more woody. The word black does not mean that smoke or burnt sugar must dominate: vanilla can remain rounded and sweet even in a fragrance with a darker name.
Fruits can emphasise its gourmand side, while flowers bring a different balance to the sweetness. Woods can provide a contrasting frame. These are possible directions, not ingredients shared by every black-vanilla accord. The name alone does not identify a botanical variety, origin or extraction method. When exploring fragrances with this note, consider how prominently vanilla appears and whether its companions lean towards fruit, flowers or wood.
