BLOND TOBACCO

Blond tobacco in perfume is a tobacco interpretation that can sit in a warm, woody and spicy setting. The word blond need not mean a faint or delicate fragrance: compositions using this note can surround it with pepper, coffee, chocolate or richer woods. Other interpretations place it beside a cognac accord and powdery woods for a different texture.

Sweet companions such as vanilla or tonka can soften the setting, while spices make the contrast more pronounced. These examples describe compositional choices rather than the contents of every blond-tobacco note. The name alone establishes neither the leaf variety nor a particular curing or extraction process. Consider the surrounding notes when choosing between a sweeter, spirit-inspired or more woody tobacco fragrance.
