CASHMERAN

Cashmeran is a synthetic fragrance material with woody amber warmth, spice and a powdery, velvety texture. Its character is more complex than soft wood alone: it also has an animalic facet, meaning a warmer, more bodily scent impression, and can reinforce floral notes. These contrasting sides help explain why it can feel both textured and smooth.

Perfumers use Cashmeran in woody accords and spicy floral ideas such as carnation, as well as in compositions with warmer animalic shading. It is a specific material, not an extract from cashmere fabric or a tree. A perfume’s reference to cashmere wood does not by itself identify Cashmeran. When exploring the note, consider whether the composition emphasises its woody warmth, powdery softness or spicier edge.
