CHERRY
Cherry is a fruit note that can combine rounded sweetness with a tart edge, sometimes recalling sweets, syrup or a cherry liqueur. A bitter-almond accent can sharpen that impression, but it is not a compulsory part of every cherry fragrance. The appeal lies in the balance: some interpretations lean into rich, dessert-like fruit, while others give the cherry a brighter floral setting.
Perfume-house examples show this range clearly, placing cherry with liqueur and almond in one composition and with white flowers and musk in another. Darker floral and woody settings are also possible. These are different ways to frame the fruit, not ingredients that every cherry note must contain. A cherry accord recreates a recognisable scent impression; the note name alone does not identify a particular fruit extract, species or method of production.
