CHERRY LIQUEUR
Cherry liqueur is a fruit accord that evokes cherries in a sweet alcoholic drink. It puts the emphasis on a rounded, rich impression of the fruit, with tartness keeping the sweetness from becoming one-dimensional. In a documented perfume interpretation, black cherry and cherry liqueur accords meet bitter almond, followed by rose, jasmine and woods. The almond lends a contrasting edge to the sweet fruit in that composition.
This is a way to recognise the theme rather than a recipe shared by every perfume. Floral and woody surroundings can make the liqueur idea feel more layered than a simple confectionery note. The name describes the scent of a drink, not proof that cherry liqueur has been poured into the bottle. Its sweetness, warmth and alcoholic impression depend on the accord and the rest of the fragrance.
