CHESTNUT HONEY

Chestnut honey is a honey-inspired perfume theme with a darker point of reference than simple sugary sweetness. Producers describe the food itself as intensely aromatic and pungent, with woody nuances; its characteristic bitterness belongs to its taste. Those qualities offer a useful reference for a honeyed scent with a more pronounced, less confectionery character, without turning taste directly into a perfume ingredient.

The honey comes from bees collecting nectar from chestnut blossoms. It is therefore a different idea from roasted chestnut or a dessert made by adding honey to nuts. In a perfume, the name describes the intended honey impression rather than confirming the presence of this food or a particular extract. How strongly the woody side appears, and how sweet the result feels, depends on the interpretation.
