CLEAN ACCORD
A clean accord evokes familiar impressions of washed fabric, soap or softly scented skin. It may feel crisp and airy, or warmer and more musky, depending on how the perfumer builds it. These are different versions of an idea rather than the smell of one botanical ingredient. A laundry-like effect and a creamy skin-like effect need not share the same texture.
Aldehydic and watery notes can contribute brightness, while soft musks, flowers or woods can shape a smoother setting. There is no single recipe, and none of these components is compulsory in every clean accord. Here, clean describes an olfactory impression rather than an ingredient standard. The surrounding notes help reveal whether a perfume takes this theme towards fresh linen, gentle florals or a warmer musky character.
