COCOA LIQUOR

Cocoa liquor suggests concentrated chocolate richness, with roasted cocoa and an unsweetened, faintly bitter edge as useful scent references. A perfume can surround that impression with cream, caramel or vanilla to make it sweeter and fuller. The word can also invite a boozy interpretation: BORNTOSTANDOUT describes cocoa liquor that way within the chocolate composition of Choco Loco. This is a creative fragrance effect, not a chemical definition.

In chocolate making, cocoa liquor means cocoa mass: ground cocoa nibs containing both cocoa solids and cocoa butter. It is not an alcoholic liqueur. That food meaning should be distinguished from a perfume house’s imaginative use of the name. The note identifies neither a standard aromatic extract nor the finished perfume’s alcohol content. Read it with the surrounding notes to understand whether the emphasis is bitter cocoa, creamy chocolate or liqueur-like warmth.
