COSMOFRUIT™

Cosmofruit™ is an IFF aroma material with a rich fruit character that leans towards cooked, candied sweetness. Its documented scent references include caramelised apple tart, plum, berries and touches of spice. These comparisons describe facets of one material, not a blend made by extracting those foods. The effect can suggest fruit with warmth and depth rather than only the freshness of sliced tropical fruit.

At IFF’s Secret Smelling presentation, perfumer Nicolas Beaulieu used Cosmofruit in a fougère composition, showing that its candied side can work beyond a dessert theme. Cosmofruit is a synthetic fragrance material, not a botanical fruit extract. Its prominence and the facets you notice depend on the complete composition; the name alone does not promise a particular sweetness, strength or duration.
