CYANIDE ACCORD

“Cyanide” can appear in perfume storytelling as the name of an almond-like accord. KILIAN uses the idea in Black Phantom – Memento Mori, describing an almond impression within coffee and rum, with vetiver and creamy sandalwood in the surrounding composition. The useful scent reference is this almond accent against a darker gourmand background.

The dramatic name belongs to the fragrance’s story. It does not disclose a formula, identify a standard perfumery material or establish that cyanide is an ingredient. Nor does it describe a special harmless form of the chemical. The house’s almond association should be understood in that specific creative context; there is no basis here for assigning one almond-and-cherry recipe, or one universal scent profile, to every note carrying the name.
