DESERT AIR ACCORD
Desert air accord evokes an atmosphere of dry warmth and open space. Mineral, woody or resinous impressions can suggest heated stone, dry timber or wind carrying aromatic traces across a landscape. Airy here describes a sense of space around those notes; it does not require a watery or cool-smelling perfume.
This is a composed scent idea rather than an extract of air or a single named ingredient. Perfumer Andy Tauer describes his own desert interpretation through mineral and resinous textures, warm amber-like effects, woods and spices. That is one useful example of how materials can suggest a place, not the recipe for every desert-air accord. In another composition the balance may be more transparent, more woody or warmer; the surrounding notes tell you which direction the perfume takes.
