YELLOW DRAGON FRUIT (PITAYA)

Yellow pitaya brings a yellow-skinned dragon-fruit reference to a perfume’s tropical palette. In Lorenzo Pazzaglia’s Tropikalys Karma, the house places it with mango smoothie, lychee and mulberry in a juicy, creamy fruit setting. The useful scent image is ripe fruit with a rounded texture; the creaminess belongs to that surrounding composition, rather than proving that yellow pitaya itself smells like milk.

Yellow-skinned dragon fruits are not confined to one botanical form: horticultural references distinguish Selenicereus megalanthus from yellow forms of other dragon fruits. The catalogue’s colour qualifier therefore does not establish a precise cultivar or extract. Nor does it guarantee a sweeter perfume than an unqualified dragon-fruit note.
