EMBERS

Embers evokes the lingering smoulder of a fire: smoky wood with an impression of warmth that may be softened by resins. The effect can feel dry and ashy or more rounded and balsamic, depending on the surrounding notes. Warmth here describes the smell, not a heating effect on skin.

Perfume houses interpret the image differently. La Curie places embers beside fir needles, pine, sage and incense; Rouge Bunny Rouge explores a fire-inspired, smoky balsamic character with frankincense and labdanum. These are examples of different settings, not a fixed recipe for an embers accord. The name does not identify a particular wood or require birch tar, cade or any other single material. In a composition, a restrained smoky accent can create a textured contrast with softer, sweeter notes.
