FIG SAP

Fig sap in perfume suggests the meeting of green freshness and a milky, smooth texture. It points towards the living tree rather than only its ripe fruit. In a fig composition, this impression can sit between the leafy side and softer creamy notes, with wood giving it a firmer outline.

The botanical reference is real: Ficus carica contains a milky white latex. The fragrance note, however, is an interpretation rather than evidence that raw sap is in the bottle. Diptyque lists fig-tree sap alongside leaves and wood; Acca Kappa describes juicy fig sap in a creamy setting with coconut. These uses illustrate the note’s context without defining the isolated smell of latex or a standard extraction method.
