FIOR DI LATTE

Fior di latte evokes a smooth milky sweetness in gourmand perfume. The name points towards a dairy impression: soft, rounded and creamy, with the surrounding notes determining how dessert-like the result becomes. It is useful to think of the milk facet separately from the vanilla, chocolate or caramel that may accompany it; those richer flavours are not all contained in the name itself.

Lorenzo Pazzaglia uses fior di latte alongside sweet orange zest and vanilla in Sugar Kisses, showing how a milky note can sit beside citrus as well as sweet materials. This is one interpretation, not a standard recipe.
