GERANIUM LEAVES

Geranium leaves highlights the leafy side of the familiar geranium note: fresh greenery with a rose-like floral impression and a minty edge. Floral does not necessarily mean flower petals here. The material’s green and rosy facets can sit together, giving a perfume an aromatic leaf impression with a softer floral side.

Natural geranium oil is documented as distilled from leaves and stems, and supplier specifications also describe fresh aerial parts of Pelargonium plants. A leaf note therefore has a connection to real aromatic foliage, but it does not establish that a perfume contains an extract made from leaves alone. Explore how the composition balances the leafy, minty and rosy facets; the note can suggest greener florality without requiring an identical effect in every fragrance.
