Eden Botanicals describes its total extract as particularly full and warm; Robertet’s CO₂ material places more emphasis on fresh spice and citral-like brightness. The name therefore covers a family of extracts with different balances, rather than one identical scent.

CO₂ refers to carbon dioxide used to extract aromatic material from Zingiber officinale rhizomes. It identifies an extraction approach, distinct from steam distillation, without establishing that every version is stronger, fresher or better than a distilled oil. In perfume, the chosen extract and its dosage can bring either a more rounded spicy texture or a clearer aromatic accent.
