IMMORTELLE (HELICHRYSUM)

Immortelle, also known as helichrysum, brings a warm herbal character with honeyed sweetness. Depending on the material, it may suggest dry hay, tea or a darker tobacco-like nuance. Its sweetness therefore need not read as a simple sugary dessert: pungent herbal facets can remain alongside the softer notes. This combination offers a useful direction for someone drawn to both aromatic herbs and warmer scents.

Helichrysum italicum is a botanical source of both essential oil and absolute. Eden Botanicals documents a steam-distilled flower oil with sweet herbal, honey and tea-like facets, and a solvent-extracted flower absolute with hay, honey and smoky tobacco nuances. These are distinct preparations with different balances, not interchangeable descriptions of every material. A perfume’s note list does not identify which extract, if any, was used; the overall composition determines how strongly these facets appear.
