JASMINE (CHINA)

Chinese jasmine is an origin-qualified floral note, associated with the jasmine flowers grown in China. Jasminum sambac is one documented source: its materials can bring rich floral warmth, and individual Chinese absolutes may lean towards juicy fruit and candy-like sweetness. Aromology describes those sweet facets in its own Chinese sambac batch; they should not be treated as the profile of every Chinese jasmine.

Chinese sambac production includes Hengxian in Guangxi, where flowers are gathered and taken to markets or extraction facilities. Natural absolutes are obtained through solvent extraction and subsequent purification, rather than simply distilling petals into an essential oil. The country label does not identify a particular species, supplier grade or formula by itself. In a finished perfume, the jasmine effect depends on the chosen material and the notes around it; the listed note alone is not proof of Chinese-grown flowers in the bottle.
