KULFI

Kulfi in perfume is a gourmand accord inspired by the Indian frozen dessert. Its central impression is rich, creamy sweetness, with a milky or custard-like texture that can be accented by aromatic spice or nuts. Pistachio, cardamom, saffron and rose may shape an interpretation, but the name does not require all of them or one fixed recipe.

The contrast between creamy sweetness and fragrant accents is what makes this theme more specific than a plain sugar note. A perfumer can emphasise the dessert itself, soften it with flowers or set it against warm woods and amber. Published fragrance interpretations range from spiced floral settings to elaborate custard-and-pistachio compositions. Kulfi describes that composed effect; it does not mean the perfume contains the dessert, dairy ingredients or a single material called kulfi oil.
