LAVENDER (BULGARIA)
Bulgarian lavender combines recognisable lavender flowers with green, herbal freshness. Its aromatic side can be rounded by softer effects: Biolandes describes hay-like and lightly honeyed nuances in its Bulgarian oil, while Eden Botanicals characterises its selection as rich and sweet-herbaceous. These are examples of the depth lavender can offer beyond a simply sharp or soapy impression. They do not make every Bulgarian oil identical.
The material comes from true lavender, Lavandula angustifolia, grown in Bulgaria. Essential oil is obtained by distilling the flowering material, including steam-distilled flower oils. In perfume, its balance of green freshness and floral sweetness can give an aromatic composition a fuller feel or connect it with softer notes. Origin helps identify the material’s context; the chosen oil and the complete formula determine the final fragrance.
