LISYLANG (YLANG-YLANG)

Lisylang is a speciality derived from ylang-ylang flower oil, offering a soft white-floral character. Its scent is described in terms of lily, jasmine, monoi and frangipani: a rounded flower impression that can feel gentler than the headier side associated with familiar ylang-ylang oil. Those comparisons describe facets of the material, not a list of flowers blended into it.

Robertet identifies Lisylang as a concentrated, processed oil from Cananga odorata flowers. Fractionation separates portions of an oil so that the resulting material presents a selected balance of its aromatic components. This makes Lisylang a particular perfumery material rather than a separate plant species or a literal lily extract. In a composition, it can support a softer white-flower effect; the note alone does not establish the finished perfume’s strength or lasting power.
