LYCHEE
Lychee brings a juicy, sweet fruit impression to perfume. It can give flowers a more succulent character, suggesting fresh fruit beside petals rather than a dense dessert. Rose is a documented partner: perfume houses use lychee in rose-centred compositions to connect a fruity impression with a floral one. The balance depends on the surrounding notes, so a lychee perfume need not be uniformly sugary.
Lychee and litchi are alternative spellings for the same fruit, not separate fragrance materials. Perfumers can interpret it as an accord, a combination of aromatic materials; Diptyque explicitly uses that description for a lychee element in its rose fragrance. The name in a note list does not establish a fruit extract or a particular recipe. Consider the whole composition to distinguish fresher fruit effects from softer, sweeter floral treatments.
