Mystikal is a synthetic fragrance material developed by Givaudan to express an incense-like character. Its resinous facets recall frankincense and myrrh, but there is also a brighter, sparkling edge rather than only a dark, smoky impression. Givaudan describes an elemi-like dimension with softer nuances reminiscent of orris and ambrette seed.

The company calls the profile resinous and aldehydic: here, that means the resin impression is accompanied by a bright, lifted quality.
