NUTTY NOTES
Nutty notes cover several scent impressions rather than one uniform smell. Almond can bring a sweet kernel-like character with a cherry association, while green hazelnut can suggest a fresher, more aromatic crunch. Other materials offer a quieter seed-like richness. The shared idea is a nut-like texture, which may sit within a sweet perfume or a greener, woodier composition.
A nutty note can be built with fragrance materials or occur as one facet of an extract. Benzaldehyde is one almond-scented material, while Givaudan describes nutty nuances in its ambrette seed material. Neither example is a universal recipe. The broad label leaves the nut unspecified and does not prove that a perfume contains edible nuts, nut oil or a particular natural extract.
