History & Production: Agarwood, known as oud, forms when Aquilaria trees become infected by a specific type of mold, producing a dark, fragrant resin. Laotian oud is especially esteemed for its superior quality and deep, resinous profile. The harvesting process is labor-intensive, as the trees are carefully monitored for natural resin development.
