PANSY
Pansy is a delicate floral idea in perfume, sometimes interpreted through a violet-like bouquet. Oriflame, for example, explicitly describes a wild pansy accord within a violet floral composition. This gives a useful direction for imagining the note, rather than a single formula that every pansy fragrance follows.
Garden pansies include Viola × wittrockiana hybrids in the violet family. Their flowers can be only faintly scented, although fragrant cultivars exist; the colourful petals do not predict a uniform aroma. In perfume, a pansy accord may suggest small, soft flowers, with surrounding leafy or fruity notes changing the impression. The label does not identify a particular cultivar, prove a flower extract is present or guarantee powderiness. Read the whole composition to judge how sweet, green or expansive it might feel.
