PINK PEPPER (BRAZIL)

Brazilian pink pepper brings an aromatic, peppery freshness with citrus brightness and a woody side. The pink fruits are associated with Schinus terebinthifolia, a different plant from black pepper. Brazil is a documented source for fragrance materials: dsm-firmenich describes Brazilian berry production and uses dried berries for its supercritical carbon dioxide extract. Its peppery, citrus and woody profile is a material example, not a claim that every Brazilian pink pepper perfume uses that extract. The country label does not make a separate universal scent formula.

In a composition, pink pepper can give citrus notes a spicy edge or make a floral and woody blend feel brighter. It need not dominate the fragrance or remain confined to its opening. A pink pepper note describes a scent effect: it does not establish which berry extract, if any, a particular perfume contains.
