PINK PEPPER CO₂
Pink pepper CO₂ is a berry extract whose name specifies carbon dioxide extraction. Its scent can combine lively aromatic spice with citrus and green freshness, followed by woody, pine-like and resinous facets. That combination offers more than a sharp pepper effect: it can give a fresh blend a dry woody continuation, or bring a brighter edge to a richer composition.
In supercritical extraction, carbon dioxide under controlled pressure and temperature acts as the extracting medium. IFF documents an extract of Schinus terebinthifolius berries with the profile described here. The process name does not itself specify a supplier, origin or exact botanical species, and does not prove universal superiority over distilled oils. A note list describes the intended impression rather than disclosing the amount or grade used in the finished perfume.
