RASPBERRY BLOSSOM

Raspberry blossom in perfume is best understood as a floral idea associated with raspberry, rather than a guarantee of the living flower’s exact scent. The name points toward the blossom, so it should not simply be read as another label for ripe raspberry fruit. Its character depends on how the perfumer builds the surrounding accord.

Orebella explicitly lists raspberry blossom in Eternal Roots, placing it with pink sugar, suede and labdanum between a lychee-led opening and woods with birch smoke. This shows the note in a sweet, fruity, woody setting rather than an isolated flower study. When exploring fragrances, consider whether the blossom is presented with juicy fruit, confectionery sweetness or a drier background. The label alone does not establish a natural flower extract, a botanical scent profile or an invariably delicate fragrance.
