RASPBERRY LEAVES
Raspberry leaves in perfume point to the plant’s foliage rather than the sweet berry. Think of a leafy botanical theme whose character comes into focus through the surrounding composition, rather than assuming it must reproduce raspberry jam. It can appear among green flowers, fruit accents or a fresher citrus-and-wood arrangement.
Les Parfums de Rosine lists raspberry leaves essence in Roseberry, a green floral fragrance with roses and blackberry; its French material tag specifies leaf absolute. Coreterno places raspberry leaves beside jasmine, white fir balm and a metallic rose idea in Godimenta, within a green citrus composition. These are useful contexts for discovering the note, not a universal extraction method or formula. Look to the accompanying fruit, flowers and woods to judge the overall effect. A leaf note alone does not establish medicinal properties, intensity or a fixed place in every fragrance.
