ROSE (ITALY)

Italian rose is a floral theme that can be interpreted in different ways. Its rose character may be surrounded by amber warmth or contrasted with woods, while fruit and honey can shape a sweeter setting. The Italian label alone does not specify a rose species, extraction method or one distinctive smell shared by every perfume.

Alessandro Serpico describes an Italian rose with an amber character alongside oud in Oud Rosè. Wally1925’s Rosa d’Italia places rose with berries, saffron and violet, followed by woods, white musk and honey. These are examples of different compositions around the rose idea, not evidence of a shared natural ingredient or of Italian-grown flowers in every bottle. When choosing, compare the surrounding notes to understand how floral softness meets warmth, sweetness or dry wood.
