SNOW ACCORD

A snow accord turns the idea of snow into scent: cool air, a pale softness or the freshness of a winter landscape. It may have a minty edge, delicate floral tones or a green woodland setting. Some interpretations feel brisk and open, while others combine the cool impression with the warmth of musk or woods. The name does not mean that every snow fragrance is sharp or watery.

There is no single snow ingredient or universal accord recipe. Zoologist places its snow accord with mint, flowers and coconut, while Amorphous Perfume describes Black Mitcham peppermint oil within its own snow accord. The latter shows that a snow effect need not be made solely from synthetic molecules. These are constructed impressions, not snow extracts. Their ingredients, sweetness, strength and development depend on the individual perfume.
