SOLAR FLOWERS
Solar flowers describes a floral impression with the softness and brightness of petals imagined in sunlight. It can feel warm and rounded, sometimes with creamy or fruity facets, while still retaining a sense of air around the flowers. The effect can soften woods or give a floral composition a more sunlit character without requiring a heavy tropical bouquet.
The term is a perfumery description, not a botanical group or an extract from one flower. Different materials can support it: dsm-firmenich describes solar floral nuances in Salicynile, a molecule with white-flower and fruity facets. The company also presents a solar bouquet combining a dried ylang flower extract with an evening primrose interpretation. These examples show that the effect can draw on both natural materials and composed floral ideas. The label does not prescribe coconut, vanilla, particular flowers or a fixed place in the fragrance.
