TANGERINE BLOSSOM
Tangerine blossom is a floral citrus note: think of blossom softness with a fresh, sweet citrus brightness. It shifts the emphasis from opening a piece of fruit to imagining the flowering tree. In a perfume, this can provide a bridge between juicy citrus and a fuller bouquet, rather than simply repeating a tangerine peel note.
The name describes an olfactory interpretation, not one standard extract. Perfumery supplier Fraterworks suggests combining a tangerine material with neroli and petitgrain to create a blossom effect; that is one approach, not a universal recipe. Perfume houses also list tangerine blossom separately from neroli and other flowers. Its presence in a note list therefore does not establish how it was made. Look to the surrounding floral and green notes to understand whether the finished perfume emphasises petals, fruit or leafy freshness.
