TROPICAL FLOWERS

Tropical flowers describe a floral theme rather than one plant. In perfume, the phrase can suggest a full, enveloping bouquet with creamy or sweet facets. Tiare, frangipani and ylang-ylang are examples used in tropical compositions, but none is compulsory and the label does not mean that every tropical flower smells alike.

Aquaflor describes a tropical floral theme around frangipani and ylang-ylang in Orphyca. Coqui Coqui’s Fleurs des Îles uses tiare, ylang-ylang and jasmine within a fruity, ambery setting.
