TURKISH DELIGHT

Turkish delight in perfume is an accord inspired by lokum, the soft confection available in floral and nut-filled varieties. A rose interpretation can suggest petals folded into sweetness, while a powdery effect recalls the sugar on a sweet. Nutty facets can lead the same idea towards almond or pistachio rather than a purely floral dessert.

These are different readings, not obligatory ingredients. Serge Lutens describes Rahät loukoum through rose, mint, almond, pistachio and confectioner’s sugar imagery; Alkemia uses rosewater Turkish delight within a floral gourmand composition. The perfume accord translates a confection into scent materials, so the label does not mean actual lokum is present. It may appeal if you enjoy flowers with a candied softness. The surrounding notes determine whether the result feels floral, nutty or richly dessert-like.
