WOODY SPICES

Woody spices describe a meeting of wood-like texture and spice. The effect can lean towards the warm sweetness of cinnamon, the aromatic lift of cardamom or a peppery edge, depending on the interpretation. The woods may feel dry or smoother and creamier. This is a combined scent direction rather than the name of a single plant or extract.

Spice can bring movement and a sharper outline to woods, while the woody side gives the spice a more grounded setting. That balance need not resemble baking spices or a sweet dessert: some versions stay dry and aromatic. A note list does not reveal the precise blend or prove that whole spices and natural wood oils were used. Its warmth is an olfactory impression, with no fixed season, gender or lasting power attached.
