History & Production: Sacrosantol® is a reconstituted sandalwood oil developed by Keva Fragrances (SH Kelkar & Co.), designed as a sustainable alternative to natural sandalwood oil, whose supply has become limited due to overharvesting and the slow growth of Santalum album trees. It is produced using a blend of natural ingredients and biotechnology-derived santalol molecules, recreating the olfactory profile and functional benefits of traditional sandalwood oil while reducing environmental pressure on endangered resources. Unlike simple synthetic sandalwood molecules, Sacrosantol® was formulated to mimic the complex composition and creamy elegance of authentic sandalwood oil, including its smooth woody diffusion and skin-friendly properties. In fragrance design, it blends beautifully with rose, amber, vanilla, spices, and musks, creating a soft, meditative woody foundation—the scent of creamy sandalwood glowing with warmth, tranquility, and understated luxury.
