ALIENOR MASSENET
Originally from Hungary, Aliénor Massenet’s journey in perfumery began with her studies at Cinquième Sense and Firmenich, eventually landing her in New York with IFF in 1995. Under the mentorship of legends like Sophia Grojsman and Pierre Wargnye, she honed her craft before returning to Paris. Known for her work with brands like Liz Earle, Chloé, and MEMO Paris, Massenet’s creations embody her philosophy of independence and innovation, often forming unlikely yet harmonious alliances such as sandalwood and pumpkin.
Massenet’s approach to perfumery is both technical and deeply personal. She values her freedom, embracing contrasts and crafting scents that evoke profound emotions and memories. Her favorite ingredients, such as myrrh and labdanum, reflect her unique style. Despite her preference for solitary work, she cherishes long-term collaborations, as seen with her enduring relationship with MEMO since 2007. Her passion extends beyond creation; she runs olfactory workshops for those recovering from accidents, showcasing her benevolence and dedication to the art of fragrance.
