ROSE (BULGARIA)
Rose from Bulgaria is renowned for its rich, deep, and luxurious floral aroma with sweet, honeyed, and slightly spicy undertones. The scent profile of Bulgarian rose is full-bodied and opulent, evoking romance, elegance, and timeless beauty. History & Production: Bulgaria, particularly the Rose Valley near Kazanlak, is one of the world’s most famous regions for producing high-quality rose oil. The Rosa damascena variety, or Damask rose, is harvested early in the morning when the blossoms are most fragrant. The petals are processed through steam distillation to produce rose essential oil, also known as rose otto. This labor-intensive process yields a highly concentrated and precious oil, making Bulgarian rose one of the most valued and sought-after ingredients in perfumery. Its rich and complex scent continues to be a cornerstone in high-end and artisanal fragrances.
