Launched in 2019, this daring series provides perfumers a creative arena free from restraint, where instinct and audacity guide composition. Following the disruptive fougère Unutamam, Shinanay further asserts NISHANE’s status as a visionary force. Conceived by perfumer Angelos Balamis, it is a study in tension—where beauty and provocation coexist, and traditional structures dissolve into tactile, emotional expression.
The fragrance opens with aldehydic brightness, blood orange, elemi, and galbanum, creating a sharp, luminous ascent. At its heart, narcotic gardenia, tuberose, magnolia, muguet, and mastic pulse with indolic richness, softened by balsamic textures. The base deepens into an opulent ambery glaze of sandalwood, civettone, cedarwood, opoponax, oakmoss, and benzoin, where earthy, leathery, and resinous facets smoulder with hypnotic intensity.
